Alexa Kilgore

Luckily, this Alexa sings and plays guitar!

Alexa Kilgore is a professional singer, guitarist, and music teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy. She began performing at just 14 years old and has now spent more than 20 years performing, teaching, and sharing music with others.

After recently making Evergreen home, Alexa has loved getting to know the mountain community and is excited to make more connections with local kids and families through Alpine Music Explorers.

Her music therapy background has shaped the way Alexa approaches music with children: it’s not about developing musical talent or getting everything “right.” It’s about the experience. Through singing, movement, instruments, play, and plenty of silliness, kids can explore, express themselves, build confidence, and connect with the people around them.

Alexa is excited to create a welcoming space where little musicians and their grown-ups can explore music together and, most importantly, have fun doing it.
