Our Story.

My life partner Tyler and I are the owners of Alpine Music, opened in 2023. We met in 2022 and bonded over our shared love of music, rock climbing, skiing and camping. After working as a public school music teacher for over 10 years, I was looking for a change and after working at a pizza restaurant in Winter Park, so was Tyler. Bill Johnson, the owner of the Rocky Mountain Music Exchange (established in Evergreen for over 10 years) and a good friend of ours, was looking to retire around this same time. We were so incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to purchase the shop from Bill and he remains a valuable mentor to us even today. We named our business after our trouble-making 5 year old Siberian Husky, Alpine.

Running Alpine Music has been our biggest life adventure yet. With my background in Music Education and Tylers in Music Production and Sound Engineering, we’ve been off to a great start, but continue to learn new things every day. We love getting to share music with the incredible Evergreen Community and could never have done it without the support of our friends, patrons, students, and families.

Our Values.

We love our town. Evergreen has a vibrant music and arts culture and we are honored to be a part of it. We strive to provide music lessons of a high quality that are tailed to the needs of every student. We believe that music, whether it’s vinyl records, guitars, private lessons, or instrument rental should be widely available to our town and we strive to make the process as easy and friendly as possible. We believe in making friends with our neighbors and learning from the needs and feedback from our community.
