Tom Hovorka

Tom Hovorka has been teaching guitar for over 25 years, working with students ages 5 and up. He specializes in Classical and Acoustic Guitar, and also offers lessons in piano, ukulele, bass, and voice. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your skills to the next level, Tom tailors each lesson to meet you where you are and help you grow as a musician.

Tom began his musical journey on piano at age six and picked up the guitar at 12—and he’s been playing ever since. He holds a BA in Music from Kutztown University and a Bachelor of Music Education from MSU Denver, where he studied guitar, voice, and piano.

As a performer, Tom has played in bands and appeared at hundreds of concerts, weddings, and events across the U.S. and in Spain. His classical guitar studies include work with renowned teachers such as Alex Komodore, Scott Cmiel, René Heredia, Miguel Espinoza, and Andrea Cannon.

Now based in the Denver/Littleton area, Tom believes music should be fun, engaging, and built on solid foundations—like note reading, strong technique, and a genuine love of learning. Whether you're interested in electric or classical guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, singer-songwriter music, or singing and playing your favorite songs, Tom is here to guide and inspire you every step of the way.
